SECTION 12.72. Bond

(a) Any bond executed as a condition for holding office as a public weigher shall be: (1) signed by a bonding agent licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance; (2) completed on a form prescribed by the department; and (3) in the amount of $10,000 payable to the State of Texas and filed with the department. (b) Any bond executed as a condition for holding office as a public weigher shall be current during the entire time period the public weigher maintains a valid certificate of authority.
