SECTION 26.53. Eligibility

To be eligible to receive awarded funds under the program, an applicant must be in good standing with the department and must:
(1) be an organization that participates in: (A) the Child and Adult Care Food Program as administered by the Department; (B) the Head Start Program; or (C) another early childhood education program; and (D) certifies that it will use the awarded funds to provide nutrition education to children between the ages of three and five years old; or (2) be a community or faith-based initiative: (A) that provides recreational, social, volunteer, leadership, mentoring, or developmental programs; and (B) certifies that it will use awarded funds to provide nutrition education to children younger than nineteen years old.
