As used in rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Trustees of Texas Municipal Retirement System:
(1) the term "Act" means Subtitle G, Title 8, Texas Government Code, as amended; (2) the term "board" means the board of trustees of the Texas Municipal Retirement System; (3) the term "claimant" means any person who asserts any claim to any right or benefit under the Act; (4) the term "director" means the Executive Director of the Texas Municipal Retirement System; (5) the term "medical board" means the group of physicians designated by the board of trustees in accordance with §855.203 of the Act; (6) the term "SOAH" means the State Office of Administrative Hearings; (7) the term "TMRS" or "system" means the Texas Municipal Retirement System; and (8) all other words, terms, and phrases as used in such rules and regulations shall have the meaning defined in the Act, unless the context plainly indicates a different meaning.
