SECTION 69.50. Transfers

(a) Except as provided by federal law, Chapter 65, Subchapter B of this title, or a provision of state law, a permit issued under this subchapter authorizes the permittee to transfer wildlife to: (1) other wildlife rehabilitators legally permitted to hold that species in Texas; or (2) wildlife rehabilitators permitted in other states, provided a letter of authorization from the department has been obtained prior to the transfer. (b) The transfer to or receipt of white-tailed or mule deer from another state is prohibited.
