SECTION 357.33. Needs Analysis: Comparison of Water Supplies and Demands

(a) RWPs shall include comparisons of existing water supplies and projected Water Demands to identify Water Needs. (b) RWPGs shall compare projected Water Demands, developed in accordance with §357.31 of this title (relating to Projected Population and Water Demands), with existing water supplies available to WUGs and WWPs in a planning area, as developed in accordance with §357.32 of this title (relating to Water Supply Analysis), to determine whether WUGs will experience water surpluses or needs for additional supplies. (c) Results of evaluations shall be reported by WUG in accordance with §357.31(a) of this title and by MWP in accordance with §357.31(b) of this title. (d) RWPGs shall perform a secondary water needs analysis for all WUGs and WWPs for which conservation WMSs or direct Reuse WMSs are recommended. This secondary water needs analysis shall calculate the Water Needs that would remain after assuming all recommended conservation and direct Reuse WMSs are fully implemented. The resulting secondary water needs volumes shall be presented in the RWP by WUG and MWP and decade.
