SECTION 4.2801. Purpose

The purpose of this subchapter is to prescribe guidelines and standards for the following activities:
(1) the submission of a statement of actuarial opinion in accordance with Insurance Code §425.054, concerning Annual Valuation of Reserves for Policies and Contracts Issued on or After Operative Date of Valuation Manual, and for memoranda in support of such opinion; (2) the appointment of an appointed actuary; and (3) guidance as to the meaning of "adequacy of reserves."
