SECTION 748.709. Are there any restrictions on who can be a designated person that makes decisions regarding a child's participation in childhood activities?

(a) Caregivers hired after August 31, 2016, may not be a designated person that makes decisions regarding a child's participation in childhood activities until the caregiver completes either a two hour pre-service training regarding normalcy or the annual training specific to normalcy. (b) A designated person that makes decisions regarding a child's participation in childhood activities must: (1) Work at the location where the child resides; and (2) Be knowledgeable about the child's current needs and history. (c) The name of each designated person must be documented on the face sheet of the child's record.
