SECTION 551.69. Storage Requirements (All Facilities)

(a) Bulk storage of hazardous items such as janitor supplies and equipment must be provided in closets or spaces separate from resident use areas. Closets or spaces must be maintained in a safe and sanitary condition and ventilated in a manner commensurate with the use of the closet or space. (b) There must be space for equipment for daily out-of-bed activity for all residents. (c) There must be suitable storage space accessible to the resident for personal possessions such as toys, televisions, radios, prosthetic equipment, and clothing. (d) Attics, mechanical rooms, boiler rooms, and other similar areas must not be used for storage purposes.
