SECTION 307.159. Admission to an Outpatient Competency Restoration Program

(a) An OCR provider must admit an individual to an OCR program upon receipt of a court order requiring the individual to participate in OCR services under Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 46B, Subchapter D. (b) In accordance with Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 46B.0735, the initial competency restoration period begins on the later of: (1) the date the individual is ordered to participate in OCR services; or (2) the date the individual is committed to a mental health facility, residential care facility, or jail-based competency restoration program; or (3) the date competency restoration services begin.
