SECTION 182.1. Purpose

Pursuant to §§154.056 - 154.0561 of the Medical Practice Act, the board is authorized to adopt rules relating to the use of expert physicians reviewers in the review of complaints involving standard of care. This chapter is promulgated to establish procedures, qualifications and duties of those professionals serving as expert physician reviewers.
