SECTION 231.423. Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Respiratory Therapy I, and Respiratory Therapy II, Grades 9-12

(a) An assignment for Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Respiratory Therapy I, or Respiratory Therapy II, Grades 9-12, is allowed with one of the following certificates. (1) Secondary Biology (Grades 6-12). (2) Secondary Science (Grades 6-12). (3) Secondary Science, Composite (Grades 6-12). (4) Health Science: Grades 6-12. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree. (5) Health Science Technology Education: Grades 8-12. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree. (6) Life Science: Grades 7-12. (7) Life Science: Grades 8-12. (8) Legacy Master Science Teacher (Grades 8-12). (9) Science: Grades 7-12. (10) Science: Grades 8-12. (11) Vocational Health Occupations. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree. (12) Vocational Health Science Technology. This assignment requires a bachelor's degree. (b) All teachers assigned to this course shall participate in Texas Education Agency-approved training prior to teaching this course effective with the 2019-2020 school year.
