(a) Funding. At least 50 percent of the funds awarded through this program must be awarded from private funds. The Board is authorized to use any available revenue, including legislative appropriations, and may solicit and accept gifts and grants for the purposes of this subchapter. (b) Grant Amount. The grant amount for an eligible institution shall consist of two parts: (1) support for the administrative expenses of an eligible institution; and (2) scholarship awards to eligible students. (c) Award Amount. The minimum and maximum award per student for a given academic year will be determined by the Commissioner and announced to institutions at the time they are informed of their share of funds for the year. (d) Period of Eligibility. No individual may receive T-STEM Scholarships for more than two academic years. Scholarships awarded in a given year do not represent an entitlement to an award for a second year.
