(a) Authority. Authority for this subchapter is provided in the Texas Education Code, Chapter 61, Subchapter F, the Tuition Equalization Grant Program. This subchapter establishes procedures to administer Texas Education Code, §§61.221 - 61.230. (b) Purpose. The purpose of the Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) Program is to promote the best use of existing educational resources and facilities within this state, both public and private, by providing need-based grants to Texas residents enrolled in any approved private or independent Texas college or university.
