SECTION 1.222. Committee Membership and Officers

(a) Membership shall consist of faculty and administrators from public community, state, and technical colleges with demonstrated leadership in workforce education. (b) Membership on the committee shall include: representatives from public community, state, and technical colleges as defined in TEC, §61.003; and (1) one (1) ex-officio representative from the Texas Association of College Technical Educators (TACTE), nominated by the TACTE Board; and (2) one (1) ex-officio representative from the Texas Administrators of Continuing Education (TACE), nominated by the TACE Board; and (3) one (1) ex-officio representative from the Texas Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), nominated by the TACRAO Board. (c) The number of committee members shall not exceed twenty-four (24). (d) Members of the committee shall select the chair and vice-chair who will each serve two-year terms. The vice-chair shall succeed as the presiding chair every two years. (e) Members shall serve staggered terms of up to three years except an individual who serves first as vice-chair and then chair, who will serve a term of four years.
