SECTION 9.35. Written Procedure for LP-Gas Leaks

(a) Each licensee shall maintain a written procedure to be followed when any employee receives notification of a possible leak. The licensee shall ensure that all employees are familiar with the procedure and shall authorize employees to implement the procedure without management oversight. The written procedure shall be available to emergency response agencies as specified in NFPA 58, §6.29.2. (b) The written procedures shall include the classification of the leak grade as defined in §9.2 of this title (relating to Definitions). (c) The procedures shall include the appropriate action criteria for the classification of leak determined according to the table in this section. The examples of leak conditions are provided as guidelines and are not exclusive. The judgment of the company personnel at the scene is of primary importance in determining the grade assigned to a leak.
