SECTION 60.202. Investigation and Priority of Complaints

(a) The department shall maintain a system to promptly and efficiently act on complaints filed with the department as provided by Texas Occupations Code §51.252. (b) The department shall assign priorities and investigate complaints based on risk to the public of the conduct alleged in the complaint as provided by Texas Occupations Code §51.2521. (c) If the department determines at any time that an allegation made or formal complaint submitted by a person is inappropriate or without merit, the department shall dismiss the complaint.
