SECTION 311.205. Wagering

(a) A person other than an association may not solicit or accept wagers from the public on the outcome of a pari-mutuel horse or greyhound race. (b) A jockey scheduled to ride in a race may not wager on a race scheduled for the same day. (c) The following licensees are prohibited from wagering in the state of Texas during the term of their license: (1) all officials; and (2) assistant starters. (d) The following licensees are prohibited from wagering in the state of Texas at the association at which he or she is employed: (1) valets or leadouts; (2) photofinish operators or employees; (3) security personnel; and (4) any licensee whose duties require the licensee to work in the jockey's quarters, test barn, or test area.
