SECTION 14.2304. General Facility Design

(a) LNG shall not be vented to the atmosphere under normal operations unless the vent leads to a safe point of discharge. Vent pipes or stacks shall have the open end suitably protected to prevent entrance of rain, snow, and other foreign material. Vent stacks shall have provision for drainage. (b) Temperature monitoring systems shall be provided where the foundations supporting cryogenic containers and equipment could be adversely affected by freezing or frost heaving of the ground.
