SECTION 33.2. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection

(a) All veterinarians, licensed and accredited in Texas, that utilize a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) for livestock, exotic livestock, domestic fowl or exotic fowl shall use a current CVI issued or approved by the commission on or after September 1, 2005. (b) The commission will assess a fee of $7.00 for each CVI. Paper CVIs will be sold in books of ten certificates per book for a total of $70.00. (c) CVIs may be obtained electronically, by written request accompanied by a check or money order, or by phone paid for with an accepted credit card for the full amount to cover the requested number of CVIs. A written request shall be mailed to Texas Animal Health Commission, P.O. Box 12966, Austin, Texas 78711-2966. Phone orders may be made by calling 1-800-550-8242.
