(a) Documentation of all training used for certification must be maintained for monitoring purposes until the end of the current certification period plus two years, at a minimum. This retention requirement does not supersede any requirement in any other rule, statute, or local policy that requires a longer retention period. (b) Documentation may include training curricula, sign-in sheets, agendas, certificates of completion, correspondence from the instructor, registration receipts, and/or exam results. (c) Upon request, a department or facility must submit training records to a department or facility in which an officer has obtained subsequent or concurrent employment.
