SECTION 343.246. Fire Drills

(a) The fire safety officer or designee shall conduct a fire drill on each shift at least once every 90 calendar days. (b) All staff on duty in the facility shall participate in the fire drills. (c) Each staff member assigned to the facility shall be instructed and drilled regarding his or her duties in the event of a fire to include the location and use of life safety and/or fire suppression equipment: (1) during new employee orientation; and (2) at least once every 365 days. (d) The facility shall maintain a fire drill log that contains the date and time of each fire drill and the names of staff members conducting each fire drill.
