SECTION 343.236. Secure Storage Areas

(a) The area(s) used to store hazardous materials, cleaning supplies, and equipment shall be locked and not accessible to residents. (b) Hazardous materials shall be stored: (1) in accordance with the storage requirements contained in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the product; and (2) in: (A) the original container with the manufacturer's label intact; or (B) a secondary container that is labeled with the identity of the product and appropriate hazard warnings. (c) Restraint devices and related security equipment shall be stored in a secure area when not in use. This equipment shall be readily accessible to authorized persons. (d) Space shall be provided for secure storage of residents' personal property.
