SECTION 28.44. Fingerprint and Signature

(a) TDCJ shall collect and forward thumbprints with each DNA sample collected under this subchapter. (b) The thumbs must be rolled to capture the entire print. (c) TDCJ shall provide a legible signature of the person collecting the sample and, for identification purposes, should make reasonable efforts to collect a legible signature from the subject providing the sample.
