SECTION 15.8. Voluntary Payments by Electronic Funds Transfer

(a) A person who is not required to electronically transfer a particular category of payments to a state agency may do so voluntarily. A person who makes voluntary EFT payments is responsible for: (1) contacting the state agency to which payments are due to obtain the information set out in §15.22(b) of this title (relating to State Agency Applicability Determination and Notification Procedures); (2) enrolling in TexNet as described in §15.31 of this title (relating to TexNet Enrollment); and (3) transferring payments as provided in §15.32 of this title (relating to Transmission of TexNet Payment Information). (b) A person who was previously required to make EFT payments to a state agency who no longer meets the applicable payment threshold may continue to make EFT payments as a voluntary payor without notification to the state agency. (c) A person shall notify the state agency if the person elects to discontinue making voluntary EFT payments.
