SECTION 65.253. General Provisions

(a) The pelt of a bobcat taken in Texas shall not be transported beyond the borders of this state unless it has been permanently tagged in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter. (b) A person shall not transport a bobcat pelt into this state unless the person possesses a valid hunting license, stamp, tag, permit, or document, issued by the state or country in which the bobcat was taken, as proof that the bobcat was legally taken. (c) A licensed hunter may sell bobcat pelts to a dealer. Source Note: The provisions of this §65.253 adopted to be effective September 16, 1996, 21 TexReg 8517.
