SECTION 17.45. Show Cause Orders and Complaints

The commissioner may, at any time after notice to all interested parties, cite any person or agency under his jurisdiction to appear at a public hearing and require such person or agency to show cause why it should not comply with any applicable statute, rule, regulation, or general order of the General Land Office relating to the Texas Natural Resources Code, §51.302, with which it is allegedly in noncompliance or why the agency should not take a particular action permitted by law. All such show cause hearings shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of these sections.
