SECTION 252.311. Reporting Losses and Claims, by Agencies

(a) Agencies shall report all losses and claims to the Office in the form and manner prescribed by the Office by the close of the tenth calendar day following the day of any claims or losses or any changes in status thereto, including settlement or denial. If the applicable insurance policy requires a shorter reporting time period for claims or losses, the time period in the policy shall govern both reports to the Office and the insurance company. (b) Agencies shall notify the Office of the Attorney General of claims pursuant to Civil Practice & Remedies Code, Chapter 101 on written notice of a claim. Agencies shall notify the Office of the Attorney General of claims pursuant to Civil Practice & Remedies Code, Chapter 104 on written notice of a lawsuit.
