SECTION 19.1310. Examination

(a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, qualified applicants must pass the risk manager license examination administered by TDI's designated testing service before TDI will issue a license to the applicant. Applicants must contact TDI's designated testing service to schedule the examination. (b) Applicants not required to take the examination as a prerequisite to obtaining a license are those who hold the designations of chartered property and casualty underwriter, certified insurance counselor, associate in risk management, or certified risk manager. (c) An applicant who fails an examination may retake the examination on payment of an additional examination fee.
