SECTION 749.1019. What must a caregiver document regarding a search?

A caregiver must document the following in the child's record when conducting a search if it results in the removal of personal items or clothing worn by the child:
(1) The date of the search; (2) The name of the child; (3) Reason for the search; (4) A description of what was searched; (5) The articles of clothing removed, if applicable; (6) The name of the person conducting the search; (7) The name of the witness, if applicable; (8) The results of the search; and (9) The resolution of the issue with the child or children involved.
