SECTION 746.5605. What safety precautions must I take when loading and unloading children from the vehicle?

You must take the following precautions when loading and unloading children from any vehicle, including any type of bus:
(1) You must load and unload children at the curbside of the vehicle or in a protected parking area or driveway. (2) You must not allow a child to cross a street unless the child is accompanied by an adult anytime before entering or after leaving a vehicle. (3) You must account for all children exiting the vehicle before leaving the vehicle unattended. (4) You must never leave a child unattended in a vehicle.
