SECTION 746.3123. Must my get-well care program follow any special handling procedures?

Yes. In addition to following the minimum standards noted in this Chapter, including Subchapter R (relating to Health Practices), you must follow these procedures when providing get-well care:
(1) Sanitize all laundry each day and when soiled; (2) Keep all garbage containers covered and take them out of the building daily; (3) Sanitize all toys and equipment after every use and before a different child uses them; (4) Use disposable, single-use cups, plates, and utensils for food service and drinks; and (5) Provide nutritious meals and snacks according to the children's needs or the directions of a health-care professional.
