SECTION 745.5201. How do I voluntarily close my operation?

(a) You must notify the parents of any children that you are voluntarily closing your operation as provided in this chart: (b) When you voluntarily close your operation, you must: (1) Notify us as soon as possible, but no later than 10 days after you close your operation; and (2) Surrender your permit. If you want to operate again after you voluntarily close your operation, you will have to apply for a new permit. (c) Residential child care operations that are closing in response to a disaster or an emergency must meet the reporting and documentation requirements of §748.303(e)(2) of this title (relating to When must I report and document a serious incident?), and §749.503(e)(2) of this title (relating to When must I report and document a serious incident?), including making a report to us and the parents as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours after the incident.
