SECTION 744.3407. Must I have a fence around a swimming pool at my operation?

(a) You must enclose a swimming pool at your operation with a six-foot fence or wall that prevents children's access to the pool. (b) Fence gates leading to the pool area must have self-closing and self-latching hardware out of children's reach. Gates must be locked when the pool is not in use. (c) Doors from the operation leading to the pool area must have a lock out of children's reach that can only be opened by an adult. (d) These doors and gates must not be designated as fire and emergency evacuation exits.
