SECTION 742.813. What are the Fire Safety Requirements?

(a) Your home must have a fire extinguisher that is serviced according to the manufacturer's instructions, or as required by the state or local fire marshal. (b) Your home must have a smoke detector and you must replace the batteries annually. (c) If your home uses gas or propane or your garage is directly connected to your home, then your home must have a carbon monoxide detector and you must replace the batteries annually.
