SECTION 571.56. Military Service Fee Waiver

(a) The license and examination fees are waived for a licensee that can prove that he or she is: (1) a military service member or military veteran whose military service, training, or education substantially meets all of the requirements for a license from the Board; or (2) a military service member, military veteran, or military spouse who holds a current license issued by another jurisdiction that has licensing requirements that are substantially equivalent to the requirements for a license from the Board. (b) No late fee is assessed for failing to timely renew a licensee if such failure is due to the licensee serving as a military service member. (c) The terms military service member, military veteran, and military spouse are as defined in Chapter 55, §55.001, of the Texas Occupations Code.
