SECTION 134.69. Waiver of Examinations

(a) Examinations are considered an integral part of the licensing process; all applicants are expected to have passed the examinations or to offer sufficient evidence of their qualifications in the absence of passage of the examinations. The board may waive the examinations on the fundamentals of surveying for applicants who: (1) do not pose a threat to the public health, safety, or welfare; (2) request a waiver in writing at the time the application is filed; and (3) meet the requirements of subsections (b) of this section. (b) Waiver of Fundamentals of Surveying Examination. Applications for a waiver of the fundamentals of surveying examination will only be accepted from Out-of-State Registration Holders. (1) Applicants must meet the requirements for application as an Out-of-State Registration Holder per §134.25 of this chapter (relating to Application from Out-Of-State Registration Holders); (2) The applicant has at least 4 years of creditable surveying experience post licensure or registration as a licensed or registered land surveyor in another state or jurisdiction.
