(a) Upon receiving an application for registration and payment of the application fee for at least one class, a trademark examiner will examine an application for registration. (b) Applications will be examined in the order in which they are received, including applications concurrently processed for registration of the same or confusingly similar marks used in connection with the same or similar goods and/or services. (c) The applicant will be notified in writing of any formal requirements or objections to the application for registration. (d) An examiner may require the applicant to furnish any information and exhibits reasonably necessary to the proper examination of the application.
