SECTION 81.132. Cost of Early Voting to Be Paid by the County

(a) Pursuant to §173.003 of the Texas Election Code, the only expense to be paid from primary funds for early voting is ballot costs and the early voting ballot board. (b) The county shall pay for voting-by-mail kits including, but not limited to, postage, early-voting workers, and all other costs incurred that are related to early voting. (c) The county chair shall not include non-eligible expenses related to early voting in a primary-election-services joint resolution, county election services contract or a primary cost report.
