SECTION 73.1. Application

(a) Prior to soliciting any members for a labor union organization, any labor union organizer operating in the State of Texas shall apply for an organizer's card from the Statutory Documents Section of the Office of the Secretary of State. (b) Texas Labor Code §101.110(b) sets forth the requirements for an application for an organizer's card, including that the application must be accompanied by a copy of the applicant's credentials. "Credentials" means either: (1) a copy of the minutes of the union meeting showing the election of the applicant as labor union organizer; or (2) if the labor organization is organized in a jurisdiction other than Texas, notification from the labor organization of the appointment of the applicant as labor union organizer.
