SECTION 55.704. Title IV-D Agency Responsibilities

(a) The Title IV-D Agency shall use the Notice to inform employers of the requirement for insurance coverage for the child(ren) of employees. (b) In a IV-D case, the Title IV-D Agency may transfer the National Medical Support Notice to the employer of an employee obligated to provide health care coverage within two business days after the date of entry of the employee in the State Directory of New Hires. (c) The Title IV-D Agency must promptly notify the employer when there is no longer a current order for health care coverage in effect for which the IV-D Agency is responsible. (d) The Title IV-D Agency, in consultation with the custodial parent, must promptly select from available insurance plan options when the plan administrator reports that there is more than one option available under the plan and when there is no default plan.
