(a) The HHSC Civil Rights Office (CRO) maintains records pertaining to the complaint according to applicable federal and state records retention requirements. (1) The records include the details of the investigation as well as any action taken by the HHS agency. (2) HHSC CRO discloses information pertaining to the complaint of discrimination and the investigation only when necessary for the investigation, in resolving the complaint, and in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act. (b) HHS agencies must make complaint records available for review to appropriate federal and state officials.
