SECTION 379.1401. Special Nonresidential Project Services

A contractor must:
(1) provide at least one specialized family violence service as described in the Service Delivery section of the Health and Human Services Commission's Family Violence Special Nonresidential Project Provider Manual, which can be: (A) community education relating to family violence; or (B) direct delivery of services for adult victims of family violence or their children; (2) at a minimum, provide the following services to victims of family violence: (A) safety planning; (B) appropriate family violence information regarding hotlines; (C) information about the victim's legal rights and options, and referral to legal resources; and (D) information about the dynamics of family violence; (3) provide information about and referral to existing community resources; (4) provide understanding and support to victims; (5) if providing direct services, including advocacy: (A) explain the program participant's rights; (B) assist the program participant to make choices about those rights; and (C) assist the program participant to access the services to which she or he is entitled; (6) demonstrate a system of referring victims of family violence to at least one family violence shelter center or other safe temporary lodging.
