SECTION 376.507. Can an applicant for refugee cash assistance claim adverse effects of accepting employment?

Yes. However, all claims that services or employment would cause adverse mental or physical effects must be based on adequate medical testimony from a physician or licensed certified psychologist who indicates that participation would affect the individual's physical or mental health. If approved by the provider, the applicant is not be required to participate in employment activities.
