SECTION 372.453. Requesting a TANF Time Limit Exemption

A TANF recipient must request a time limit exemption:
(1) in the case of a severe personal hardship as described at §372.452(a)(2)(A) of this division (relating to TANF Time Limit Exemptions), within 90 days after: (A) the date the personal illness or injury began; or (B) the date the recipient is needed to care for a close family member; (2) in the case of a county hardship as described at §372.452(a)(2)(B)(i) of this division, at any time during the recipient's five-year period of ineligibility; and (3) in the case of an employment hardship as described at §372.452(a)(2)(B)(ii) of this division, within 90 days after the date that the recipient exhausts the TANF time limit, loses a job, or experiences a reduction in work hours.
