SECTION 372.252. Residency Requirements for SNAP

(a) To be eligible for SNAP benefits, a person must live in Texas. (b) The Texas Health and Human Services Commission follows 7 CFR §273.3 in determining a SNAP applicant's residency, which does not require a person to reside in a permanent dwelling or express an intent to reside in Texas permanently.
