SECTION 354.1201. Authorized Services by Rural Health Clinics

There are two categories of services for which the department will reimburse providers in rural health clinic settings:
(1) "Rural health clinic services" include those items and services which: (A) meet the definition of rural health clinic services as stated in federal regulations at 42 Code of Federal Regulations §449.10(b)(2)(ii); (B) are medically necessary; and (C) are provided by a certified and approved rural health clinic in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. (2) "Other ambulatory services" include those items and services which do not meet the definition of rural health clinic services as stated in federal regulations at 42 Code of Federal Regulations §449.10(b)(2)(ii).
