SECTION 8.33. Action and Order of the Board

(a) Board action on the request for approval to hold an election to create a public community college district shall be taken at the next quarterly Board meeting. In making its decision, the Board shall consider the needs of the community, the potential impact on other institutions of higher education, and the welfare of the state as a whole. (b) A resolution shall be entered in the minutes of the Board and conveyed in writing by the Commissioner to the Steering Committee.
