SECTION 5.8. Criteria for Posting Faculty-Related Measures on Institutional Websites

(a) The following words and terms, when used in this section, shall have the designated meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) Accountability System--The online data reporting system established in response to Executive Order RP 31. (2) Faculty--For purposes of this section include all individuals with teaching responsibilities who hold the following ranks and positions: professor, associate professor, assistant professor, instructor, nontenured or nontenure track, and teaching assistant. (3) General Academic Teaching Institution--A general academic teaching institution other than a public state college as defined in Texas Education Code, §61.003. (b) Texas Education Code, §51.9745(d), authorizes the Board to adopt rules for the administration of the section. (c) Each general academic teaching institution shall make available to the public on the institution's Internet website certain faculty information as required by Texas Education Code, §51.9745. The definitions used and the values reported must be aligned with the affiliated definitions and values in the Texas Higher Education Accountability System.
