(a) Prior to September 1 of every even-numbered year, the Board shall report to the Legislative Budget Board and the Governor the results of annual verification of the practice sites of physicians who have completed a Physician Education Loan Repayment Program agreement to practice in a HPSA to determine short-term and long-term rates of retention in those shortage areas and counties. (b) The Board annually shall solicit and collect information regarding the number of patients enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP who are treated by each physician receiving loan repayment assistance under this subchapter.
