SECTION 23.291. Eligibility for Disbursement of Award

To be eligible for disbursement of a loan repayment award, a teacher must:
(1) for teachers having a probationary teaching certificate during the initial year in the Program, have received a standard teaching certificate by the beginning of the second year of employment, to qualify for a second-year award; (2) for the first four years of employment, submit all required end-of-year forms verifying completion of one, two, three, or four consecutive years of employment as a full-time classroom teacher in a Title I school; and (3) following the first four years of employment, submit all required end-of-service period forms verifying completion of five, six, seven, or eight consecutive years of employment as a full-time classroom teacher in any Texas public school.
